Hardwood floors are becoming more and more popular these days. They give a certain essence that many people love. An air of class and comfort. I also think it is healthier that wall to wall carpeting. You never really know what is going on in the carpet fibers. While many people like hardwood floors they still want some king of carpet to make the room look more complete and homey. This is where area rugs come in. Area rugs range in sizes, but it seems as though 5'x8' is the most popular size. This size of carpet fills the area right in from of a standard sofa and love seat combination. Accent rugs really add substance to a room with wood floors. It contrasts the floor while pulling colors from focal points in the room that give the space a complete feel. Some like to go with a plain color, and some enjoy the multi color rugs. Modern area rugs tie many shapes and designs with simple colors while traditional rugs contain very ornate designs and more muted neutral colors. Add a little spice or change to your room by adding the perfect area rug. This is a great inexpensive way to change things up for spring time!

In any dining room, the focal point is usually going to be the dining table. Selecting the proper table should be considered a big deal, here are some tis that will aide you in making the most accurate selection.
First know which style you want to go with. Not having an idea of the type of style you want to go with will lead to scatterbrain and frustration. Remember the style should be an extension of who you are. It should reflect your personality, a window into who you are. It may be modern or rustic, traditional, transitional  or old world. whatever it may be, make sure it blends well with what you already have going in in the room.
Another tip is to search materials. Figure is you are looking for a wood table with no glass, some glass, or most glass. Or maybe even a glass and iron table? materials also matter when taking traffic into account. If it is for a high traffic area, then you would probably want to go with a wood with some kind of laminated top. Glass is also a good choice for high traffic areas. If it is a more formal setting you may go with a more high maintenance, delicate wood that exudes beauty.
There are a few other factors to consider when searching for the perfect dining table such as size, height  and colors. Whatever it is you choose, always make sure you absolutely love it, you will be looking at it for a pretty long time!

 Memory Foam or Innerspring?

Memory foam mattresses are becoming more and more popular. Many ask me which mattress is better. Memory foam, or the traditional innerspring. The answer to that question lies within the person asking the question. It is a comfort preference. On tv you see the infomercials telling you memory foam is the best out there. The "most comfortable" mattress in the world. The truth is it doesn't matter what kind of mattress it is as much as how the mattress feels to you when you lay on it. It can be a cheap old mattress that you get the best sleep on. Or it may just be that $3000 memory foam mattress that you see on TV  It also may lie anywhere in between. So to all the people that ask me which mattress is the best, i will tell them to go to a furniture or mattress store and test some out. Actually test out all that fit into your budget. Lie on the mattress for at least five minutes each. The one with the least amount of soreness or pressure and most comfort would be my bet. Make sure to take your time when testing out mattresses, this is an item you will be on 6-8 hours on average every night. So make sure it is the right choice!

Relaxing is a pleasure pursuant by the masses. I love to relax, if i can just sit back and relax all day long without getting bed sores or  morbidly obese, trust me i would! Many believe because i work in a furniture store, i have many different places to relax and sit back. While that is true, time and obligation do not allow me to indulge! But when it comes down to it and time is on my side,  i always choose a chair and ottoman combination over a recliner. Recliners are great for getting a more obtuse angle when reclining. They let you lay back and put your feet up. I don't like the fact that my feet are not at a 90 degree angle, it effects my lumbar back. When a chair and ottoman combination is used, the height of the ottoman is usually the same height as the seat base, therefore creating an even surface. This allows the person sitting down to put your legs up at a 90 degree angle, taking all the pressure off your lower back. However, a chair and ottoman combination will not allow you to lie back. So with ever decision comes sacrifice. If lying back with your feet up sounds better than having your feet level, then a recliner is for you. Otherwise a chair and ottoman is the way to go! Always remember to make time to relax, even if its in the middle of a kitchen floor on some cold tile!

Sit Sleep and Store, Space Saving.

As real estate in popular and congested areas becomes more scarce, more practical furniture becomes necessity. One form of practical furniture is the Click Clack sofa bed. A click clack sofa bed is a sofa that converts into a bed with just a few simple clicks! many of these types of sofas also are available with storage underneath the seating space. A place to store blankets, pillows, movies whatever you would need! Typically the click sofa bed would only take up about 18-20 square feet. In that space you may have a bed that is much more comfy than the traditional sleeper sofa, and have the convenience of storage attached to the unit. Many people ask if a comfort sacrifice is necessary why owning a click sofa bed. In some cases yes but in others no. Some click sofas sit almost as comfortable as traditional sofas, some others a but more firm. Ultimately it is a great solution for those in need to save some space and save some money! typically the click sofas are about 10%-20% less expensive that the pull out sleeper sofas. To most, this is comfort to not only their bodies, but their wallets as well! Stop by Furniture Village in Summit, IL to check out some options of click clack sofa beds!
